In Vitro Analysis of the Herbal Compound Essiac®
Using two established laboratory investigative procedures (arrays), the researchers observed that Essiac has significant anti-proliferative effects on different kinds of cancer cells. Antioxidant activity was also observed. It was concluded that Essiac has an effect on the immune system due to the inhibition of inflammatory pathways and its ability to arrest the development of tumours.
