New expectation from the well-known medicinal properties of Arctium lappa

Many forms of cancer are prevalent among those with diabetes. More research is needed to identify the link between the two diseases to ultimately find better treatment for diabetes. This research paper summarizes research into Arctigenin and its antiproliferative effects on cancer cells. The authors noted that arctigenin (key compound found in Arctium lappa aka Burdock Root) is known to inhibit the growth of cancerous tumors while also lowering glucose levels. The authors recommend further research into the use of arctigenin as a treatment for diabetes.
